Publication Ethics Policy of PEA2

1. Editorial Independence:

  • The editorial board of PEA2's publications operates independently of the association's governing body to ensure unbiased and fair decision-making.

2. Authorship and Originality:

  • Manuscripts submitted for publication must be the original work of the authors and must not be under consideration by any other publication.

  • All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the research and preparation of the manuscript.

3. Peer Review:

  • Manuscripts will undergo a rigorous peer-review process conducted by experts in the field. Authors are encouraged to participate in the review process and respond to reviewers' comments.

4. Plagiarism and Duplicate Publication:

  • Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited. Authors must ensure that their work is entirely their own and properly cite sources.

  • Manuscripts submitted must not have been previously published elsewhere.

5. Conflict of Interest:

  • Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the research, review, or editorial decision-making process.

  • Editorial board members should recuse themselves from handling submissions in which they have a conflict of interest.

6. Corrections and Retractions:

  • PEA2's publications are committed to correcting errors or retracting articles promptly if errors or misconduct are identified. Authors are expected to cooperate fully in such cases.

7. Ethical Treatment of Subjects:

  • Authors must adhere to ethical standards in research involving human or animal subjects. Approval from relevant ethics committees should be obtained, and proper consent should be documented.

8. Data Integrity and Transparency:

  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the data presented in their manuscripts.

  • Raw data should be retained and made available upon request for a reasonable period after publication.

9. Timeliness:

  • Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to adhere to agreed-upon timelines to ensure the timely and efficient publication of accepted manuscripts.

10. Reviewer and Editor Conduct:

  • Reviewers and editors should handle manuscripts objectively and provide constructive feedback. They should also disclose any conflicts of interest and maintain confidentiality.
